Shantiraj Hospital, Udaipur Makes History with Successful Telerobotic Bariatric Surgeries!!
Udaipur”s Shantiraj Hospital has achieved a major milestone by successfully performing two Tele-Robotic Bariatric & Metabolic surgeries in a single day, a first for South Rajasthan.
International bariatric expert Dr. Mohit Bhandari remotely controlled the advanced SSI Mantra Robotic Telesurgery System from Indore, while Dr. Sapan Ashok Jain executed the procedures at Shantiraj Hospital.
The surgeries were performed on a 39-year-old male weighing 166 kg and a female patient weighing 110 kg on 24th November.
Dr. Jain said that telerobotic technology makes complex surgeries safer, more precise and opens the door for remote expert care.
Both patients were discharged in healthy condition on 26th November.
